Kellanova Director Wellbeing of Regulatory Affairs in Chicago, Illinois

As a Director of Wellbeing & Regulatory Affairs (Salty, Portable Wholesome Snacks & Customer Activation), you will drive differentiation and enable share growth. This will be achieved by providing strategic wellbeing & regulatory thought leadership to Kellanova category teams. You will lead the integration of Wellbeing initiatives into customer planning and activation. Engaging with external stakeholders, you will shape industry and food policy initiatives. The role can be based out of Battle Creek, MI or Chicago, IL and will work in a flexible, hybrid model with weekly in-office days.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Business Integration – You will lead the development / integration of wellbeing & regulatory insights, opportunities, and strategies. You will work in partnership with cross functional teams to support Salty and Portable Wholesome Snacks business objectives and strategic planning.

  • Unlock & Enable Communications - Collaborating with cross-functional partners, you will identify communication opportunities. Together you will support the development and execution of substantiated product claims, purpose marketing communications and experience plans. These will strengthen brand positioning and align to our wellbeing & regulatory strategy.

  • Customer Activation – You will lead the strategic integration and execution of Wellbeing & Regulatory into customer planning, activation initiatives and selected events. This will involve working in partnership with senior stakeholders and cross-functional colleagues.

  • External Advocacy – You will leverage your understanding of nutrition science and policy. Partnering with cross functional colleagues, you will develop and execute external advocacy strategies for assigned industry and food regulatory & policy initiatives.

  • Lead a High-performing Team – You will lead and build the capabilities of a team of four direct reports. These individuals provide wellbeing and regulatory partnership to assigned North American business units. This includes optimizing business and innovation strategies along with food development projects. Your team is responsible for developing and implementing nutrition and ingredient labeling information.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Extensive experience in regulatory, dietitian/nutrition communications, or marketing business environment (preferably in large food or beverage industry).

  • Significant experience with food or related industry labeling federal regulations [FDA, USDA] and knowledge of external regulatory policy landscape.

  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with the ability to translate insights into compelling brand and innovation actions.

  • Significant experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
