The opportunity Covetrus was formed as a public company (NASDAQ:CVET) in 2019 via a merger of two very different businesses, one in veterinary technology and one in distribution of veterinary products and pharmaceuticals. The past three years as a public company have been tumultuous, but the company has made great progress and is now positioned to accelerate its value creation plan as a nimble, private company backed two of the world's largest and most successful financial sponsors - Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and TPG Capital As a result of our recent "take private" transaction, Covetrus is embarking on a strategic transformation to operate as one company, and enable us to more effectively leverage our assets as an integrated value proposition. This effort will result in a company that is set apart from all others in the animal health industry in terms of assets and operating effectiveness, creating significant value for its customers and shareholders. As a member of the Strategy Activation Team (SAT), you will play a pivotal role in supporting transformation across the organization, with deep exposure to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other senior team members across Covetrus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Lead the identification, planning, development, and execution of business transformation projects such as improved clinic and customer engagement, optimize pricing strategies, operational efficiencies, and more. 2. Collaboration with other functional leaders and team members in key transformation areas. Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership across the organization to ensure buy-in and enhance operation efficiency and successful implementation of transformation initiatives. 4. Foster a culture of change and innovation, promoting collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning throughout the organization. 5. Connect commercial and operational business activities to the Covetrus strategy and operating model demonstrating strong understanding across the areas of Finance, Operations and HR. 6. Navigate conflicts and challenges that may arise from transformation while collaborating, influencing, and building trust in an effort to navigate these issues and bring them to resolution. 7. Lead, coach and develop the members of your team. Required Knowledge and Skills 1. Experience in a leadership role in a strategy function or in strategy consulting, with 9+ years of professional experience 2. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions. 3. Experience leading cross functional teams in a high-growth environment 4. Strong business judgment: ability to approach complex business problems in a structured way, simplify, and drive rapidly towards insight 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 6. Strong people leadership skills, including ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders 7. Fast, flexible, and outcomes-focused: able and excited to thrive with rapid cycle
