Position Summary:

Certified Nursing Assistants shall be responsible to assure that a safe, healthy environment exists for the residents.

Reports to:

Administrator and/or RN

Responsibilities:

Implements care in accordance with professional standards of the Facility.

Adheres to the WDH Culture Statement.

Maintains residents rights and responds with sensitivity, flexibility and cultural awareness to the residents and their family or appropriate persons.

Meets the facilities quality standards in all work done.

To work in a professional manner at all times, and to be responsible for your own work performance. Works professionally at all times.

Maintains an awareness of residents rights and does not breach these rights. Is courteous when dealing with residents and visitors.

Courteous in conferring with staff, residents and extended family.

Maintains appropriate channels for communication.

Will be diplomatic, courteous, and respectful with other medical entities.

Have compassion and patience with residents.

Complies with all policies and procedures contained in the Dubois Assisted Living, Inc. Policies and Procedures Manuals. All policies, procedures and standards are followed.

Attends staff training and staff meetings as required.

Maintains good relationships with all staff. Welcomes new staff and assists staff undergoing orientation.

Seeks advice from the Administrator or RN and other senior staff when this is needed.
