POSITION IS A 4 MONTH CONTRACT DURING THEIR BUSY SEASON

Description:

Prepares, posts, verifies, copies, files, and retrieves materials and records transactions related to assigned accounting area. • Maintains and updates files, including name or address changes, business status, mergers, or mailing attentions. • Enters data into accounting system; verifies that information is entered correctly. • Consults with Manager on fiscal administration and accounting area procedures. • Prepares reports or statements for financial institutes, insurance companies, or government agencies. • Collaborates with accounts payable managers to reconcile accounts on a periodic basis and prepare department reports for assigned area. • Assists Accounting Manager to receive, process and reconcile statements or relevant accounts each month. • Verify all payment entries are accurate and complete according to support documentation. • Reviews accounts payable invoices, assigns vendor numbers and similar identifying data, and confirms correct accounting codes were used. • Answers vendor questions by researching accounts. • Processes invoices for payments in a timely manner to keep finances up-to-date. • Assists in periodic inventory audits and prepares monthly inventory control reports. • Assist internal and external auditors when needed. • Assists in training new personnel. • Performs other duties as assigned
