As our Director of Admissions, you will manage the facility's inquiry and admissions process, coordinate and implement effective facility sales and marketing programs as well as manage tours, personal visits and assessments.   • Initiation of leads through relationships with qualified sources and contact with patients and families

  • Responds to all inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families and other referral sources. Works with location leadership to implement plan for documenting inquiries received during evenings, weekends, and other times of absence

  • Manages all electronic referral systems, profiles, contracts, access updated on a timely basis

  • Manages the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and facility services information at all times. Manages the inquiry process professionally, timely and with appropriate follow up. Effectively manages occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement

  • Ensures the closing of all leads

  • Develops and maintains relationship with the Director of Nursing Services and the Business Office Manager to assure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions. Recommend admissions decisions to facility management. Communicate with nursing and housekeeping about appropriate room and bed selection

  • Ensures appropriate admission papers and signatures are obtained from residents or responsible parties prior to admission and communicate special needs of new admits to staff ensuring a smooth transition

  • Coordinates the development and implementation of quarterly sales and marketing plans, serve as chairperson for marketing team meetings, monitor budgets and track results

  • Monitors inquiry, admission and census trends as a part of Continuous Quality Improvement process. Prepare the Monthly Inquiry Summary Report, an inquiry log, and other reports as required

  • Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction and patient service evaluations

  • Develops and implements special events and presentations targeted at community education, establishing and maintaining status for the facility as the expert on skilled nursing, specialty programs, and rehabilitation care in the community. Remain current with other local events and participate in events as appropriate

  • Works with marketing department to place advertisements, update website and services available to include photography, copy, service evaluations, etc.

  • Ensures property has appropriate collateral and marketing pieces available

  • Utilizes company provided tools and calendar effectively


  • Two (2) years experience in a sales/marketing position or Director of Admissions position is recommended.

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in healthcare

  • Ability to attend meetings, make presentations, and meet prospective residents or facilities outside the facility

  • Ability to work flexible hours, as admission responsibilities may dictate

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
