Position Summary: The Director serves as a liaison to and supports HHC’s EVP & Chief Clinical Operating Officer (CCO) to execute on business objectives and priorities. The Director ensure the successful completion of HHC initiatives and projects by planning, managing and executing as well as overseeing program management, communicating objectives between departments and coordinating between CCO and the senior executive leadership team. Key Accountabilities: * Support the CCO related to the preparation of internal and external meetings, communications, presentations, and other matters through the development of talking points, memos and presentations and research * Act as strategic advisor, provide clear and direct feedback to the CCO, ensure issues and concerns are addressed with key stakeholders, advise, organize and prioritize information to facilitate decision making for CCO * Partner with CCO’s direct reports, HHC ELT members and other key stakeholders on various projects to build consensus, ensure continuity and execution of business outcomes * Create and manage processes that facilitate decision making, leadership alignment and engagement * Drive projects to completion on behalf of CCO and coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives * Build trusted relationships with all levels of internal and external customers to execute on change initiatives and maintain cross-departmental relationships to drive leadership accountability. Act as an ambassador for HHC/CCO * Assess inquiries directed to the CCO, determine the proper course of action, develop action plans to manage or delegate to the appropriate individual to address and ensure CCO is apprised appropriately * Manage quarterly Board Quality & Safety Committee preparation, quarterly Regional Board Meetings and other governance related meetings/materials * Manage process and support direct reports annual goal setting, quarterly updates and annual reporting of HHC BSC initiatives/annual improvement priorities and other strategic priorities * Communicate information, expectations and expected deliverables of CCO to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives/priorities/projects * Master’s degree is required * Proven, successful track record of navigating through complex and ambiguous corporate processes, organization structures and processes * Organization and the ability to move forward in the execution of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives through coordinated project plans * Demonstrated ability to build relationships across an organization at all levels * Ability to develop and foster effective collaboration between departments and other partners to meet goals and objectives * Strong interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), collaboration and negotiation skills * Hartford HealthCare works within a highly matrixed organization and the incumbent must be proficient within such a model, demonstrating past capabilities of delivering excellent operational results in a similar environment * Critical thinking and strategic thinking * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and other tools and applications to support efficiencies such as video conferencing, web-based presentations, SharePoint, inter/intranet knowledge repositories and content management We take great care of careers.
