Position Summary: Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Lead Data Engineer to design and develop complex and large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate meaningful insights and address reporting needs. Duties include: design and develop data engineering solutions and leverage best practices, industry leading tools, and technologies to profile data, develop efficient ingestion, and build semantic data layers; build state-of-the-art data pipelines to enable data collection, storage, processing, transformation, aggregation, and dissemination through heterogeneous channels; responsible for data engineering support for corporate initiatives to educate members on efficient and cost effective ways to utilize healthcare services; engage clients, data acquisition, and support teams for successful execution of projects; perform analyses of varied data to evaluate programs and product solutions; design and code efficiently using SAS/SQL programs; extract data from multiple sources and create integrated analytic datasets; create reports and studies to address business and research questions; develop, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to solve business problems; execute univariate and multivariate statistical analyses and interpret results in the context of the business problem or question; conduct periodic updates of analytical routines and department production systems; investigate and evaluate alternative solutions to meeting business needs; participate in presentations and consultations to constituents on information services, capabilities, and performance results; document methods, specifications, and findings clearly; contribute to writing and presentation of results, findings, and conclusions; and create and evaluate the data needs of assigned projects and assure the integrity of the data. Multiple Openings." - Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Data Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires five (5) years of experience with each of the following: developing Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes for data acquisition and loading; designing and developing data pipelines; performance tuning and user acceptance testing (UAT); Oracle, Teradata, or DB2; and Informatica and Control-M Workload Automation. Telecommuting available. Pay Range: $140067.00/year to $240000.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
