Growth Ortho Director of Clinical Operations in Lexington, Kentucky

Bluegrass Orthopaedics is hiring a full-time Director of Clinical Operations in Lexington, KY. Basic Functions The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for providing leadership and managing the daily clinical operations of Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO) to ensure quality services and efficiency of operations. The position requires the ability to provide strategies to improve the quality, efficiency, and expense management of the clinical departments across all BGO clinic sites of service. Job Relationship 1. Reports to the BGO Senior Vice President. 2. Supervises all clinic based employees including Radiology and DME 4. Exempt position Qualifications 1. Prefer Bachelor degree, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing or related field. 2. A minimum of three years supervisory experience in the management of healthcare related organizations, preferably orthopedics. Skills and Abilities 1. Leadership: Ability to motivate and drive accountability throughout the clinical departments. Ability to delegate responsibility to associates. Develop and maintain effective relationships with providers, medical and administrative staff, patients, and public. Effective in meeting management. Provides management direction, leadership, and assistance to staff. Maintains and evaluates organization practice/processes. 2. Critical Thinking : Planning for strategic, short term and long-term goals. Strong organization of thought and planning for execution of goals. Skill in exercising initiatives, judgment, problem solving and decision-making. Skill in analysis, development of comprehensive reports and interpretation of complex data. Ability to set priorities and avoid crisis management. Seeks consultation for complex issues or guidance as needed. Attends professional training seminars when appropriate for job development and shares information with other staff members. 3. Human Resources: ability to grow and maintain an associate work force that is well trained and motivated. 4. Financial Management: Monitors current budget and operational data, able to analyze Pro Forma and rate of return calculations for proposed projects, provides reporting to the Sr. VP in a format and manner adequate to ensure understanding of the organization's financial position. Minimizes the labor hours and expenses. 5. Service Excellence: Ensure that all employees adhere to company policy and with their actions support service satisfaction. 6. Efficiency: Meets productivity benchmarks as assigned. Ensures adequate human, capital, physical resources are available to meet organization service objectives. Ensures that all scheduled preventative maintenance is completed appropriately. 7. Performance Improvement: Understands and can develop and complete performance improvement projects to meet organizational goals utilizing structure performance improvement strategies. Performs all other duties as assigned. Job Knowledge 1. Microsoft Office Suite 2. EMR/PMS, Greenway intergy preferred 3. OSHA 4. PQRS 5. Meaningful Use 6. Healthcare Compliance Physical Requirements: 1. Able to sit for long periods of time with correct body 2. Push/pull/pick-up 25 lbs. 3. Visual acuity, hand-finger dexterity, ability to speak and hear Standards: 1. Understands and follows the standards of the Bluegrass Orthopedic Employee Manual 2. Understands and follows the Bluegrass Practice Responsibility Program, Code of Conduct. 3. Completes all yearly compliance trainings and educational programs.
