Description

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for our maritime services company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic industry and contribute to the success and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for management, stakeholders, and external parties.

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, provide insights, and support decision-making processes.

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management.

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Assist with audit and compliance activities, including internal and external audits and regulatory filings.

  • Support finance team members with day-to-day accounting and finance operations as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably in the maritime or transportation industry.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software.
