The Fountainhead Group, Inc. is looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our FGI Family and support our growing Engineering Department. Reporting to the Senior Blow Mold Process Engineer, the Process Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving all molding systems within our production plant, innovating our current processes to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and lower costs.

What You’ll Do:
The below describes a typical day as a member of our innovative, collaborative Engineering Department, but additional responsibilities may be required by the Process Engineering Manager.
Work collaboratively with our Production Control, Quality Control, Molding, and Maintenance departments to develop and manage process specifications for all molder/mold combinations in the plant
Develop innovative techniques for monitoring our current molding process (including melt temperature measurement, SPC, and more) to enhance product quality and reduce error
Set specifications and monitor molding manufacturing processes to implement cost and quality improvements while maintaining all product specifications required by our customers
Work closely with our Molding Department Supervisors to reduce waste and optimize cycle times through set up and scrap reduction and improved material and machine utilization
Establish and monitor PM procedures (cleaning, storage, restoration, etc.) for all molding equipment
Provide technical input and support to the Engineering Department for new mold designs and modifications as needed
Assist in the development and provide ongoing support to molding department technicians and supervisors to enhance their current understanding of the molding process and communicate changes as necessary
Evaluate and manage communications with outside supplier sources for molded parts, components, molds, and tooling as necessary
Who You Are:
You have a minimum of 3 years experience providing support and managing Cincinnati, Graham or Davis Standard accumulator head blow molders
You have a solid background in molding process management and engineering, including extrusion blow molding and plastics injection molding
You are an innovative self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills
You are a team player with a history of successful, cross-departmental collaboration
You are a skilled communicator who can translate complex molding processes to employees of varying skill-levels and education, from new hires to management
