JPMorgan Chase Treasury/Chief Investment Office - Short Term Funding Analyst in New York, New York

The Treasury/Chief Investment Office (T/CIO) is responsible for firm-wide asset and liability management. Members of the Treasury and Chief Investment Office are uniquely positioned to influence the operations of the entire firm by managing its aggregate market exposure, deploying its capital, and designing and executing its liquidity and funding strategies. T/CIO operates funding teams across three regions, North America, EMEA and Asia that require coordination and teamwork across the globe to support the firm's funding objectives. The Short-Term Funding Team, part of the Treasury & Chief Investment Office (T/CIO), is responsible for the management of the firm's daily funding requirements and contributes to the execution of transactions supporting liquidity risk management.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the unsecured/secured short term issuance programs funding North America legal entities including JPMCB NY Branch, JPMS LLC.

  • Assist in providing direction to all our program dealers in terms of price, tenor, and rate guidance.

  • Develop an understanding of other related secured and unsecured short-term funding markets and associated products including FX swaps, repo and other applicable money market instruments

  • Develop an understanding of the firm's balance sheet and legal entity structures within North America in the context of the firm's approach to liquidity risk management and asset and liability management

  • Support the pricing and execution of intercompany funding transactions by producing the firms short term issuance curve daily in fixed and floating rate formats.

  • Partner with key contacts including Intraday Liquidity, Cash Management, Intercompany Funding Management, Liquidity and Market Risk Management, and Line of Business Treasurers to support funding and liquidity needs

  • Understand and assist the implementation of process improvements and automations to increase operational efficiency while enhancing controls including organizing and maintaining documentation

  • Compliance with the firm's code of conduct and adhere to proper controls policies and procedures which are applicable

  • Support the North America Treasury team as needed for project initiatives and/or management reporting analytics. Participate in cross training across the relevant funding desks.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Degree in Finance or Economics related discipline

  • Series 99 and SIE licenses preferred or must obtain within 3 months of hire

  • Applicable Associated Person training and designation must be completed within 3 months of hire

  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and critical deadlines

  • Ability to interact with and build relationships with people from different departments and levels of seniority

  • Strong analytical and technical skills (Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to innovate and initiate improvements

  • Experience with SQL, Python or similar programming language also a plus

Base Pay/Salary
