Description

We are in search of a Merchandising Coordinator to join our team located in Orange, California. This role is primarily involved in the consumer-packaged goods industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The key responsibilities of this role encompass sourcing materials, managing correspondence with global suppliers, tracking key timeline deliverables, maintaining pricing files, and providing sales support among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing materials and new products, both domestically and internationally.

• Manage correspondence with global suppliers including negotiating specifications, costs, delivery schedules, freight arrangements, quality, and lab testing.

• Track and manage key timeline deliverables and purchasing and shipping deadlines.

• Maintain accurate pricing files, cost sheets, and margin spreadsheets.

• Track samples from concept to production including art file submission and licensor approval.

• Manage tracking of new artwork/orders for new products and packaging.

• Provide logistical support for new product orders including correspondence with vendors, freight forwarders, and receiving parties for on-time arrival of goods.

• Provide sales support for specialty domestic customers.

• Maintain and update customer web-based data profiles and product information.

• Assist with customer service phone line and key account order entries.

Requirements

• Product Development

• Experience with Innovator software and/or other product life cycle management tools

• Advanced Excel spreadsheet proficiency

• Experience with Google Drive shared docs and coordination

• Experience, interest, and aptitude for Enterprise systems such as Sage 100 or equivalent

• Understanding in running system reports.

• Strong written and verbal communication capability.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Client-facing skills
