Aerotek Mechanical Tool Assembler in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Assemble parts and components to build mechanical tools used in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Follow schematics and work instructions for assembly. Use of hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, testing equipment, and computers.

Will pick their own parts based on a work order, bring them to a work station, build the tool based on a computer schematic, and test the tool once built to ensure proper function.

• Read and interpret assembly schematics and drawings, along with the following work instructions, to build electromechanical assemblies for component parts

• Accurately lay out, assemble, and/or wire DC tool and controller assemblies to drawings and/or work instructions

• Troubleshoot assemblies, electrical control circuits, mechanical stack ups

• Perform tool testing procedures, record data, and prepare certification according to set parameters

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High attention to quality and appearance of finished product

• Read and evaluate engineering drawings and specifications

• Ability to adjust to and manage rapidly changing priorities

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, in order to assist with a valid conclusion

• Electrical assembly skills and soldering

• Proficient in MS Office and time reporting software

• Self-starter and highly motivated

Day shift: 7:00am-4:00pm Monday- Friday

$22-25/hr DOE
