TeamBuilders is hiring for an experiencedDirector Plant Operationsto join aFood Production facility in the Reedley, CA area.

The Director Plant Operations will drive and oversee the daily operations of this established, stable and fast-paced food processing facility. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of success managing a high quality food processing facility.

The Director Plant Operations position is being offered on a Direct Hire and Full-Time basis,Monday through Saturday with overtime requirements. Company offers an outstanding benefits package and a competitive salary of up to $150K to start, DOE.

Essential Duties of the Director Plant Operations to Include:

  • Management and implementation of various expansion projects
  • Provide excellent leadership and management to plant employees
  • Coordinate and monitor facility and equipment modifications and improvements
  • Management of budget and development of cost control measures
  • Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety and quality
  • Coordinate and plan production according to customer demands, equipment availability and ingredient and material availability
  • Track production yields anddeterminerequired adjustments to improve yields and increase efficiencies
  • Monitor operations and work with Quality Control Manager to implement Corrective Actions where necessary
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor costs of production, yields, waste and overtime
  • Manage plant safety procedures and implement changes as necessary
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes to track productivity
  • Hire, train, manage and provide leadership to all plant staff
  • Customer and vendor communications
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual operational reports (inventory, issues, product launches, customer complaints, forecasts, sales, costing, etc.)
  • Managesupply chain, replenishment and procurement needs, shipping/receiving, demand planning, material planning and production planning
  • Additional related duties and responsibilities as required

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications of the Director Plant Operations:

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness or similar field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within a Plant Management or similar role within the Food Processing industry is required
  • Must be HACPP Certified
  • Professional and effective communication skills; Interpersonal, verbal and written
  • Superior detail orientation, time management, project management, analytical, mathematical, investigative, problem solving, and organizational skills required
  • Advanced computer software skills; MS Excel, Word, Outlook required
  • Strong experience with ERP, CRP, DRP and MPS systems
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Knowledge of business and management principles for application toward budgeting, cost analysis, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources
  • Must be able to multi-task and possess a high level of accuracy within an extremely fast paced and cross functional work environment
  • Strong Food Safety understanding and experienced in GFSI level certified facilities (experience with food safety audits)
  • Experienced in hiring and establishing production teams and organizing operations running multiple shifts
  • Mechanically inclined and experienced with larger equipment installations
  • New plant construction experience preferred
  • Skilled with Liquid Nitrogen and Kettle Cooking
