Google Global Commodity Manager, Technical Infrastructure in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in sourcing, negotiations, or commodity management.

  • Experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) sourcing and supplier management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience in the PCB industry.

  • Understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent investigative skills (i.e., industry analysis, cost modeling, quotation analysis, roadmap development, supplier selection).

As a Global Commodity Manager, you will optimize our total cost of ownership for our global and growing infrastructure. You will collaborate effectively across multiple functions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Co-develop long term commodity strategies for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and execute them while implementing Supply Chain improvements.

  • Co-lead cross-functional teams, while growing and maintaining a high level of industry expertise and supplier/market conditions.

  • Develop and manage purchase agreements and contracts with suppliers. Conduct negotiations and secure comprehensive agreements with supplier executives.

  • Manage supplier relationships and performance in technology alignment, cost, quality, delivery and resiliency. Support cross-functional teams through robust supplier selection for new deployments.

  • Interface with engineering for early engagement, technology development, and best TCO for Google compute, storage and ML fleet.
