As a Nurse Treatment Wound RN at Dycora, you will ensure that our patients get the care they need and that we have the necessary resources to provide it. We are seeking qualified candidates who have experience in this field and are ready to go to any length to get our patients and facilities the support they need. That's because you believe in our mission here at Dycora. Ideal Nurse Treatment Wound RN candidates should also have:

  • Document resident progress in the medical record

  • Notify physician of new skin condition problems, changes of skin condition, and when skin conditions heal and document in resident's plan of care

  • Obtain changes in physician orders as indicated by resident's progress or lack of progress

  • Develop, update and revise care plans when appropriate

  • Communicate pertinent information regarding resident condition and progress to charge nurse and Director of Nursing Services

  • Maintain a clean and orderly treatment cart and restock treatment supplies

  • Consult with other professionals when indicated to determine appropriate treatment and plan of care

  • Follow Infection Control policies and procedures

  • Maintain oxygen and suction equipment as assigned

  • Assist with admission and discharge of residents. Participate in patient education, Licensed Staff meetings and facility/company training and educational activities

  • Attend Risk meetings and provide input

  • Provide or assist with providing education to staff on wound care protocols, treatments, interventions

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures

  • Follow facility policy and procedure for treatment and documentation of skin concerns

  • Document pressure sore status weekly or more often as condition changes


  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State or hold a multistate license recognized through the Nursing Compact Recognition

  • Wound Certification preferable (WCC, WOCN)

  • Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

  • Basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company software

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee and company proprietary information

  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels
