Restorative Nurse Aide
As a Nurse Restorative LPN at Dycora, you will ensure that our patients get the care they need and that we have the necessary resources to provide it. Coordinates programming of transfer and ambulation techniques and with range of motion and exercise activities; the use of walkers or other assistive devices; coordinates self-help training; coordinates or assists with other restorative functions; evaluates progress and documents daily, and participates in care plan meetings.
Participate in the interviewing and hiring of nursing assistants.
Exercise independent judgment in evaluating the performance of nursing assistants.
Exercise independent discretion in disciplining nursing assistants, including the effective recommendation of suspension and termination.
Assign nursing assistants specific duties for resident's care.
Assess residents to evaluate their physical and emotional status and document in the Medical Record. Monitor resident activity, evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional standards, and provide nursing care according to the physician's orders, care plans, established standards and facility policies. Transcribe physicians' telephone orders. Communicate with the physician, Residents, family members, other interdisciplinary team members, and management regarding Resident status
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician; in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies. Sign, date and perform all charting and record keeping in accordance with established policies and procedures
Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding Residents' Rights; promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators, to include presenting a professional appearance and attitude
Conforms to expected ethical and legal standards including matters related to resident abuse or neglect, by personally complying with laws, regulations and the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy
When in doubt about whether a particular activity is proper, refrains from the activity and obtains guidance from their supervisor, the Director of Nursing Services, the Executive Director, Corporate Compliance Officer or the Company's Legal Department
Reinforces through example and, where applicable, training, the expectation that all employees that they supervise conform to these ethical and legal standards, including matters related to resident abuse or neglect
Responds promptly and thoroughly when problems are reported by other employees. Assists in planning, implementing and monitoring corrective action, when problems including ethics and compliance problems and resident abuse or neglect are identified
Recognizes and reports to management or through the company Hotline (1-800-572-9981), potential legal or ethical violations, including resident abuse or neglect
Assist with the completion of the RAI and RAP summary and participate in developing and implementing the written care plan for individual residents that addresses the needs of the resident
Monitor environment and care practices of nursing personnel to ensure compliance with established safety, fire and disaster, infection control and all other departmental policies and procedures are followed; and to ensure cleanliness and safety of work and treatment areas

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State
Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification
Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other employees at all levels
