West Virginia Employer Imaging Services Manager in Williamson, West Virginia

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School graduate; BS degree preferred. Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Certified by the State of West Virginia to practice and administer radiation. Current BLS certification. Administrative/Supervisory experience preferred. Current membership and active participation in the Radiologic Technologist professional organization. _EXPERIENCE: At least five (5) active years in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience. _PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Completes annual education requirements. Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations, and accrediting organization standards. Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time and as scheduled. Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments, and staff. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Attends committee, CQI, and management meetings, as appropriate. Resolves staff concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process as required. Effectively and consistently communicates administrative directive to staff and encourages interactive departmental meetings and discussions. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices. Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department. __NATURE OF WORK: Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Imaging Services Department. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Ensures competency of all staff. Assists in formulating the budget. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all accrediting organization, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
